I’ve been a “gamer” for as long as I’ve had conscious memory – it is the one throughline that has kept my identity together as I’ve grown up and changed. To me, video games are an essential part of the world – they make it larger, more vibrant, more empathetic and less of a lonely place. To take them away would be akin to cutting a rainforest or blocking the sun.

And this is the core reason I wanted to make games – to be a part of the expansion of our world. To look into a shapeless horizon and reimagine it – Is it a mountain to scale? Or a twisting maze to escape from? Or a sunset you are sharing with a friend for the last time?

In my view, the best, most pioneering games, stand out with the level of sincerity with which they try to capture that unborn horizon. In my practice, my goal is always to bring about this vision in the most impactful and affective way possible, whether it is my own, or someone else’s.

I have worked on a variety of projects spanning multiple creative environments – a diverse array of university games, a commercial card game, solo narrative projects and arcadey game jam entries. No matter If I’m balancing resources in a spreadsheet, writing a compelling character or playtesting a movement mechanic, my aim is to craft an experience that is as fun as it is memorable, leaving the player’s world larger than it was before.
