PsyClone is an educational game that helps first year psychology bachelor students get to know the different career paths and possible professional roles that they could pursue.
To acheive that learning goal, we opted for a structure in which the player isn’t doing the psychologist’s work per se, but is creating different psychologists themselves. This way, we could provide a more engaging puzzle experience by divorcing the student from their usual work context and immersing them in an environment that is more playful and fun (you don’t get a cloning machine in psychology class!).
In the end we settled on a fantasy in which you are helping an underwater society of aliens clone different psychologists in order to understand the human mind. Dive in by playing the game here!
